A Hong Kong court has slapped a former wealth manager with a three-and-a-half-year prison sentence after he was found guilty of accepting some HK$1.46 million ($0.4 million) in bribes. 

Tu Bing, 40, was an associate director of global wealth management and business banking at UBS’ Hong Kong branch. He was responsible for managing clients’ investment portfolios.

Last week, he was found guilty of bribery. 

In sentencing, Judge Gary Lam Kar-yan said the minimum sentence for his crime was three and a half years, and that there were no exceptional circumstances that warranted reduction, the Independent Commission Against Corruption said.
